Every Cheoy Lee motor yacht in scope that is listed on either MLS, counted by hand, week after week. Which boats are listed, what they’re asking, whether that asking price has moved and how long they’ve been out there. Boats that come off the market get counted too, because what a boat did on the way out tells you more than what it was asking on the way in.
Most brokers work one MLS. We work both, so the count is the whole market rather than one company’s shelf.
An average needs a large sample to mean anything. This market doesn’t have one. Twenty three boats spread from $475,000 to $6,900,000 means the comparable set for any single model is a handful of hulls, so an average taken across the whole brand tells you nothing about the boat in front of you.
Four 2023 and 2024 CLB65s are on the market in two locations right now. That’s most of the recent comparison for that model sitting in one place. A price move on any of them changes what the others are worth. That is the level these reports work at.

Because they measure different things. Three of the eight sales in the August report are new boat deliveries reported by a dealer. A new boat figure carries the dealer’s interest in supporting the value of their own inventory. Current tariffs on new yachts built in China can also move it a long way from what the same boat brings used.
The report gives you the board. It doesn’t give you your boat. Six of the twenty three have been listed more than a year and every one of them is still asking, so the published asking prices on this brand include figures the market has already declined.
